you will need a good first aid kit i reckon to treat the ferrets afterwards as they can take some serious punishment from a doe rat protecting young,i know it has been done a lot in the past but think really the way forward is to smoke them out and use terriers

i have done a fair bit of rattin in the past, using ferrets smokers an spades

the ferret gotta be the most exciting for me, tho the smokers do the job if used right

an diggin them oot wae a good marking dog is also fun, but ye do need a dog wae a half decent nose

like somebody else said, if ye try it, make sure ye are prepared, but aslong as ye use yer head an go prepared

dont see why ye cannae try it

well theres a jack russel ont farm which i rat we all time moving under bales, digging the rats out but shes a good ratter so will the ferrets flush the rats out or just kill them in the hole?

Couple of rats are one thing, hordes of the fuckers are quite another. Depends on what your facing. Either way a smoker is far less hassle, and you'll never end up having to dig down and stick your hand into the rat infested filth to rescue a smoker.

hi mate, personally, i would not put my ferret down to rats, especially when pregnant does r about, they can be visicous and in some cases cause seriouse injury to ferrets, if i were you, i would just get a smoker and a couple of terriers, depending how much there are or just sit up 1 night with an air gun and a lamp

No doubt no matter what anyone says you are going to try it.Good luck.

I tried it when I was younger and it was great fun, when rabbiting the ferret gets a rabbit in a dead end the ferret has the upper hand ,trap a rat the same way the rat will get the upper hand and more than one rat attack from different directions at the same time. For all those that believe a rat only breeds at a certain time of year they do All Year.

I stopped rating with ferrets when my little jill got her eye riped out she had to be pts.

P1
