.20 pellets????

Recommended Posts

This is my first post in this section so would just like to say hello to you all. I have been looking through this section for a while and have found a lot of the posts very useful so thanks to you all :notworthy:

I have a .20 Stealth and have been trawling through the net looking at pellets. I came across these http://www.bentaylorandson.co.uk/pellet.html and though expensive thought they sounded pretty good and there is 600 in a tin? Does anyone have any experience with them?

Also, is the Gunpower bi-pod any good? Do they swivel/tilt or are they just fixed? If not is it possible to fit one that does?

Thanks in advance, Paul.

hi paul, i havent used these pellets, but they look very similar to logun penetrators(which arent made anymore, sadly) which my .20 rapid loves.

crossman premier do an excellent .20 pellet, although more a traditional domed shape, and defiant do a similar bullet shaped one to ben taylor, but cheaper i think. if you pm clubshot re the defiants he'll be able to help there.

cheers, wurz

edited to say-theres a thread in general air rifle banter about logun penetrators, with a link to the defiant site, which might be of help

The thing about .20 is because it's a relatively rare caliber only the better manufacturers bother with it so you're not really going to find many bad pellets, it's just what suits your own gun the best.

For what it's worth, my .20 HW90 shoots best with Dynamic SPC5s and H and N Baracudas. It also shoots very well with the Logun-Exterminator-Defiant-whateverthey'recalledthisweek too.

One pellet that's well worth a try is the Benjamin Air Bullet, if you can find them.

Cheers.

Edit to say.... One pellet I've not tried in .20 is the H and N FTTs. I've had very good results with these before in both .177 and .22. My old 410c loved them in .22.
