andyfr1968 772
just seeing if i can get round buying a bottle thats all I understnd that, mate but with very high pressure gas, you just can't feck about with the wrong kit. It will end in tears. At best you'll ruin your gun. at worst you'll ruin yourself. Jokeing aside, as Archie's said if you can't stretch to the proper gear, sell it and buy a decent springer Edited January 26, 2011 by andyfr1968 Quote Link to post

Just don't do it, mate. Please...??? Quote Link to post
rossi_j 99
what bottle is it? What did it contain? Argon, asethalene, nitrogen, oxygen, helium, calor gas? I will have a mooch at work and find out what pressure we are talking here, I doubt someone will fill it if it has b.o.c (for exaple) plasterd over it. But who knows. .atb. .ste. I dont think you will have anything up to 300 or even 232 bar tho mate in all honesty, even then you will have a nightmare trying to find the right fittings (i would imagine). Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Oxygen cylinders are the highest pressure rated welding kit but even then the max pressure is 200 bar and most cylinders are rated a lot lower than that, certainly the ones that BOC or whoever sell to the general public. It's just one of those things that ain't worth messing around with the wrong kit, I've seen what can happen when very high pressure gas goes tits up and it's really not good..... Quote Link to post
