hw100sniper 2
Finally managed to bag my first charlie of the year last night .We had been out for a few hrs to get some rabbits for the local butcher before we set of for Charlie .I spotted 1 next to some trees in a marshy piece of land that we had been after for a while but by the time I handed over the lamp to my mate and got the gun out the window charlie was heading for the tree line I could of took a shot at him on hte run but thought better of it this time ,so we proceeded down the rest of the road seeing nothing more and turned back the way we came.Back at the trees we'd spotted the charlie there was 1 in the feild about 40yds from the defender but at the drivers side and not the passenger which would have been ideal for me. On him getting lamped the fox started running towards the way we had just come so I got out the landy and ran to the back only to see my mate was lamping down towards the marsh again and there was foxy jumping the fence into the marsh towards the trees just as it was about 15 yds from the tree line about 130 yds from me my mate squeaked it stopped and I shot him in the heart area from a standing position free hand so was even more pleased.(We werent sure whether this was 1 that we had been after for a while so the pressure was on as 2 of my mates had missed it) Sorry if was a bit long winded Billy Quote Link to post

kenny14 656
Well done, sounds a shot to be proud of . Like the write up too, keep em coming. I've been looking forward to getting out a couple of nights at the weekend but driving home late last night it started to snow heavily and the landscape was completely white which made me think my plans might be scuppered again , but thankfully this morning it's nearly all gone so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
