rapidjenky 97
a fresh egg is alot better then cows milk to give him. if you want to give him milk full fat goats milk is best. mine get lambs heart beef heart dead rabbits anything i shoot fresh fish, sardines, sprats that type of thing, mossisons even sell salmon trimmings whish is good for them dry food only if im being lazy or havent got fresh meat to hand. they get eggs and goats milk for a treat when i feel like they deserve it lol. while out ferreting they always get a bit of liver or kidney to say thanks for doing a good job to eat on the way home. heritage 202
Ferrets are lactose intolerant so only a select few types of milk would be suitable.....you also have to consider the ferrets digestion system as they can only absorb a certain amount of nutrients/vitamins from there meals...the rest would be simply wasted.try something like ferret kibble, fresh mince,chicken...For a "treat" try an egg, milk (whiskas kitten milk is good)a small amount of cream or a piece of liver ect.....failing that try a little ferretone or cod liver oil.....atb Quote Link to post

rapidjenky 97
kitten milk is goats milk. its just cheaper to buy a liter of goats milk rather then the little bottles of kitten milk. feed him as much as he will eat rather then try to judge how much he needs. better to waste then not have enough. mine run and hide food then come back for more, its good for a working ferret cause if you carnt dig then out they leave the dead and go looking for more. which is handy for me as i sometimes have to work sets which are extremely hard digs.
