johnny boy68 11,726
Just wondering has anybody any experience of using these dogs in lurchers I know we've got the border and beardie collies and no need to introduce other breeds into our lurchers but I'm bored and just thought I'd put this up. I've done a little research and this line caught my attention......................."Athletic, loyal and filled with a desire to work a long day, the breed excels in any "job" as long as enthusiasm and praise is a part of the task." From what I've researched( ) they look like they're very strongly built, big strong legs and a little taller than collies...........just found them an interesting breed Quote Link to post

scottyboyish 14
I think I read some where that husky blood was introduced to the picardy to beef it up a bit, cuz the breed was getting rather weak. Quote Link to post
ReggieCuz 18
I've always thought an australian cattle dog would be good to put over a greyhound for a nice lurcher. I've used pure ACDs in Oz on pigs and have also owned some nice ACD cross English bull terriers. They are a strong, working dog that have no fear and will work all day in the worst conditions. I've never seen one in England, anyone here seen them? This one isn't mine, but it's a typical specimen. You get them in red as well as blue, they're also known as blue and red heelers.
