Lewdan 17 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Share Posted December 19, 2010 Hi All, i am using a LEE 4 position reloading press, and generally its a great piece of kit for the money only gripe i have is that when i am depriming the cases the old primers pop out and go in all directions there doesen,t seem to be any method to collect or direct them into same area misses getting a bit pissed off with picking them up in cleaner. AzMaN 0 Posted December 19, 2010 Report Share Posted December 19, 2010 snap, i have a single stage classic press and it dose the same, 1 in 10 actualy goes into the tube, keep finding them for weeks afterwards. shall be interested to read if i too am doing things wrong, or if its just a design fault. Treacle Trackpad 6 Posted December 31, 2010 Report Share Posted December 31, 2010 If it's like my Lee press and the primers are supposed to go down the inside of the press and down the shute you will need to have the primer attachment (the bit you would use to press the primers in) fitted as this knocks the removed primer in the right direction and down the tube. SNAP SHOT 194 Posted January 16, 2011 Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 clean the channel with some silicone oil and use a cotten bud to wipe the residue off the slide of the turret press, you should find a big difference, i had one and changed it, to achieve more accuracy, As the turret lifts when you push the dies down into the round, hence changing OAL and misalining the head... roundout was all over the place with it, BUt i hope this helps you out...
