Guest filthy animal
Calling hunting a sport is what got your hunting taken from you. Stand up for your blood lust. To right there Clint, your talking sense for once I'm only on the coffee so far today. It is strange calling hunting a sport. I don't know of any other sport where something is killed and eaten unless you're talking about Mike Tyson. Unfortunately there's not many that eat, give away, feed to dogs or sell their kills. What, on here!!! f**k me,.... the amounts they kill on here by the day, you'd be the size of John Candy within a week if you'd to eat them...and thats just the hares!!! Quote Link to post

Dan Edwards 1,134
John Candy is dead and I'd assume you would be too if you had survive solely off of the hare meat caught by most on the internet. 1 Quote Link to post

3 Turns 326
In deep snow even a collie can kill more hares than you can carry, this means that most of the near-useless, heavy, pot-lickers pictured on these forums which can never, ever catch a good daytime winter hare single handed (or even a lamped hare in many cases) can kill hares in the snow. It's not sport, most will have done it once, but once should be enough. The hare is a magnificent sporting animal and it takes a good dog to catch a daytime winter hare single-handed, but in the snow almost any dog can kill a hare. Coursing is a sport, if you just want to kill hares then snare them or get a rifle and go out and butcher as many as you like but don't pretend it's sporting or an achievement or that it's interesting or that it shows what a great hunter you are. There's a lot on here who have no idea of sport and no respect for their quarry- they are the same people who run little leverets and pregnant and milky does in the summer. One thing you can guarantee is that these losers have never owned and will never own a decent single-handed coursing dog. These people just seem to think that killing things is fun and to my mind would be better off getting a job in an abattoir rather than walking out with a long-dog. WELL SAID A REAL HARE MAN.ATB. 3 Turns 326
What's the point of killing something and throwing it in the bushes? That's just lazy and ruins it for the people that would make use of their catch. WELL SAID. Quote Link to post

Catcher 1 639
Heard recently of some intrepid hunters taking hare in this deep snow, apart from being illegal surely its un ethical there would be an argument to say that the hares caught would not have survived the winter anyway but surely on this 12" thick powdery snow even a strong hare is limited severly!! i dont understand the way some people think and to me it seems the lurcher world is full of this mentality. Why anyone would run a dog in these condition,s and risk a bad injury boggles the mind. Quote Link to post
psm 43
who calls hunting a sport,,,if you want sport go play footy.......unless ya a pompas stuck up p r i c k that likes to kill for the sport and as never touched a dead thing in is life,, theres two different types of hunters the real ones...... and the ones that do it for sport these are the people that got the bans in the 1st place in my eyes but thats just my opinion . if it was left to the real hunters it wouldnt have happened. people who hunt for a living or for food wether its for dogs, birds,or human consumption 2 Quote Link to post
