Pneumatic Ballistics Magazine.

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

Well the Magazine came.

Took it out of its packing and was quite dissapointed with the quality.

Full of machineing marks and pitted, also the spring ends are pokeing out the back and are very sharp.

Same with the edges of the body.

Watched the video clip of how to fill the mag.

Went to the cuppboard for a tin of AA and started to load it.

The pellets were dropping out the other side, I thought they had sent me a mag for a .25

After a bit of fiddling, I realised you had to support the pellets fom underneath with the pad of your finger, and then turn, to load next pellet.

You have to get the support just right, or the skirts get dammaged as you load

First impressions were not to good, but after finding out these little niggles, I was able to load the mag with no damage to the pellet skirts.

The real test will come in the rifle, when I get the action back, still with Tench at the momment.

I hope it performs better than it look's, because it wears an expensive price tag at £63.00.

If it dosnt perform well, its going back pronto!!!!

The knurling is good on the mag barrels though, very nice grip for cold or wet fingers.

We shall see.

Hey Bill :gunsmilie:

I can certainly see some 'performance' issues arising as well as the odd personal injury claim when some idiot scratches themselves on the sharp spring. I'd also be worried about such a loose fit of the pellet and it getting damaged when loading

Personally, machine marks I could live with but the rest of what you describe I'd personally be weary of ordering one of them.

Stick some Macro pix up for us so we can all have a gander.

Hiya Ste.

Cheers buddy, the 200 is a joy to shoot, punches well above its weight.

As for the Mag, so far Im not to impressed with it to be honest, but we will see.

Tench has my Ultra Ste, he is fitting a reg, shortening the hammer stroke thereby decreasing the locktime, and speeding up the shot process.

Other work on the internals, polishing trigger sears, setting trigger weight, and de flomaging the nefter rail

Cant waitto get her back in my arms.
