been christmas shopping today with the family and found a "remote locator" its a little square box that you can attach to ur tv remote and when you have lost it all you do is whistle and the box flashes and beeps quite loudly.

what do you think of locating ferrets with this?

its like a lot of things mate,if its not designed for a specific purpose its probably going to be next to useless

There was a thread on here ages ago about something similar, I'll try and find it for you mate

it may come in to use ifthe ferret comes out the hole and slips in to thick undergrowth

It will definatly come in handy with all the leaves, if it's atached to your keys and you happen to drop them lol , no seriouse mate it isnt going to work cause at the end of the day you will only know your ferret is in the warren which you will already know as you put it there

so, ferret goes missing, you croutch down at a hole and

the box on the ferret "bleeps" now does it just bleep, in which case you still only know its underground somewhere

 

or does it shout out a gps point and depth of the ferret

 

I reckon the first, in which case, forget it as an underground locator, I did tests for a company a couple of years back on the loca8tor, and above ground but below
