MR TEA POT 1,287
Hi mate my hutchs blew over one day and the ferrets got out,i found one on the front lawn but the second was now where to be found,so what i did was walked down my street looking in every garden, you get some funny looks when you knock on the door to ask if you can look in the garden for a ferret, then on to the next street and did the same, did that for two hours i eventally found her in a garden two streets away.Just start looking close by then fan out you should find her Good luck mate hope you do find her Quote Link to post
mooster 1
i'm also confused as to how many you have lost mate! Contact your local animal rescue centre and police as lots of people call them when they find a stray and are usually more than willing to find the owner rather than having to house them. When i lost one of mine i put letters in my neighbours doors as on had said she would kill a ferret if she found it and didn't know the owner. Quote Link to post

Guest ferreting king
yes i agree to leave the ferret box open but in your case i disagree to leaving food in the box or surrounding if you have rats close by as this will attract the rats which you do not want Quote Link to post

Guest the yorkshire lad
Cant belive it folk. Three days after she went missing i went in the garage in the morning as usual and ive been leaving the door slightly open just in case as there is nothing of much value in there. After a few mins she came running over and shot straight up my leg was i happy to see her then i put her back in the hutch with my hob and they rolled around together in madness for about 5 mins. Thanks all for the advise The Yorkshire Lad Quote Link to post
