Guest underdog
JK comes from my neck of the woods; in fact, I went to school with his lads. I'm not over fond of his TV work, but he has a good heart, and is doing something he loves. As others have said, he was a bit of a 'lad' in his day; and I think some of the loud mouths on here would be very brave to slag him off to his face. my old man went to school with johnny , hes nothing like he was , after his big accident hes changed alot , if people dont like him , then dont watch him., simple . he does some good photography , if darcy come on now and praised his work , you watch peoples views change, and the brown mouth birgade come out When I started to read that whippet, I thought you were bursting into song............... my old man said follow the van.... and dont dilly dally on the way.............. At the end of the day, old johnny boy made money from doing his passion, good on him I see..... doesn't detract from me thinking he is a fud though

DIVERD 34
I watched his programmes most of yesterday whilst pottering away reloading, cleaning the guns and the like, as the rain / sleat was crashing down all day here and it was not worth driving out for a stalk. I though it was good entertainment, ok, it is not educational for folks who spend most of their time out in the countryside, but for folks who do not i thought is was good. It is so different to the countryside in north scotland i found it quite entertaining What is his story? Earlier someone mentioned an accident. He looks ok.Did he have a big accident and make money to buy his land or what is his story? I bet you could have a good laugh with him over a few pints in a country pub! Diverdave www.wader-repair.co.uk He has been a farm worker, a quarryman, a lumberjack, a poacher, and for over 50 years the gravedigger for his local parish, but his overriding passion is filming the wildlife on his beloved Exmoor. He has been making films for over 20 years, with series and documentaries being shown on a number of British television channels. He lives in the village of Bishop's Nympton. His 2006 series "Johnny Kingdom, A year on Exmoor" was shown on BBC2 and coincided with the publication of his autobiography "Johnny Kingdom - A Wild Life on Exmoor". One-off programmes have also been shown featuring visits to Lapland and to the Scottish Highlands. A new BBC series, "Johnny's New Kingdom", commenced in March 2008. In this, having bought some land of his own, Kingdom sets out to make it a haven for as much local wildlife as he can.....and after all this hes still fecking clueless Edited November 21, 2010 by craigyboy
