entering a dog to fox

slip it like gnipper says .... my avatar shows my dog doing his first fox (im in NI) was on my own that night and my dog had never seen another dog killing a fox .... if theyve got it in them , they should do em on there own .

yea, it might want that fox 100%, if the dog is on its own and goes into it 50/50 it could get bitten and be put right off it! and if its a young one it will more than likely happen, make sure the dog is MENTALY up to the job, it will look alot older than it is...never for get that

 

2 many good dogs getting spoilt by running the to young and slipping them on things that thay are mentaly not ready for....

should have also said in my post about the age..... my dog was 2 yrs old before he seen the fox ... i wouldnt personally start a dog till it was at least 18 month old and then only if i thought it was ready

2 is a perfect age for most, but some are able and willing at 15-18months also...but would not try any sooner than 15 months if its bigger than a rabbit.

 

i start mine on the rabbits at 12months...
