nice n windy

Recommended Posts

tomorrow is normally my night out for the pups weekly lamping lesson, tho with the wind near on gale force, id a been daft not to get her out for a few slips, she is picking sitters up nicely when she gets them, so i thought id gee her a bit more practise :D

1st field, bunny out 30yds, slip, whack, out its seat, straight back to hand

2nd bunny, a good 70 yds this time, same field, straight down beam, whack another oot its seat, an retreived

3rd bunny was a good 40 yds past the 2nd yin, so she goes down the beam goes out the beam an whack a strike form the right hand side, never mind, another bunny straight to hand

walked a couple a hundred yards up the same hedge line wind in our faces, an their they are another 4 bunnys all sitting about 40/100 yds away from each other

4th bunny is picked out as he is closest, he is only 40/50yds away an pup is down the beam like a shot, comes in from the right again, miss, fecker, she tumbles a bit an bunny is off, thankfully he comes towards me an dont spook the rest a the family, she misses him in the hedge an he is gone, straight back,

5th bunny is a further 20/30 yds fae the last 1 an squattin tight, so i rock the beam bitch pulls a bit, an slip straight down the beam an another bunny out its seat, an retreived back to hand

6th bunny was sitting with its back to us, an off she went, she ran past it an picked it up as she went past, i actually thought she had missed it, till she turned round, result

started walking home then an another bunny popped its head up about 90 yds out, not a clever thing to do, so pup away goes straight in for the strike, an misses bunny up an running, pup strikes again withing 15 yds or so an bang, another bunnys back to hand

pup is coming on well, 7 slips an 6 bunnys :D

wouldnt like to think what you could do out there tonight with a decent lamping dog
