spike25blue 55
Hi hunter I would go for the s400 and a little less on the rangefiner I have the mtc rangefinder and it's good 5-700 yds Atb rob Or save a bit more and go for a HW100 sk Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Steve, Well if you really wanted a new rifle as you state I would recommend the following. Phone Simon Howarth (Tench) and order from him a new BSA Ultra tactical in .177 single shot . 07792 073470 (His number is now in the published magazine hence me posting it in the open forum). Ask him to Tench regulate it for you mate which will give you 60 full power and very consistent shots at around 11.7 ft/lbs . Just had mine done from him mate and am picking it up in Dec from him, video intense review to follow . Have a read of this mate and scroll 3/4 of the way down to read the main reveiw. http://bsaog.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=21512.msg165245#msg165245 Then after you have had that done buy a Twink Mark 2 silencer from Davyt63 to fit to it . The AA S400 is also a nice rifle mate. ATB Si Edited October 28, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post

ATB Si hi Si and spike the thing is i have a s400 177,and i have had the ultra,i want something for night shooting So i can use my s400 177 for day time shooting, the info good thanks Si mate. atb steve Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
You have lost me there then buddy I thought that a Ultra was one of your options in the poll. If you have a S400 and have had a Ultra in the past then surely your only option is the S200 if your after another rifle and don’t get the other accessories Looking at other rifles then mate then either a second hand HW100KT, Air Arms S410 or BSA r10 all in .177 calibre to assist you with the problem of range estimation at night. .22 is good and i love the calibre but range estimation at night really needs to be done with a laser above you scope to act as a range estimation tool, or you estimating skills need to be really spot on. Mine aren’t at night. Or another different rifle that is magazine fed so your not messing about in the dark pal. Si Edited October 28, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post
hunter1989 91
hi Si how much are the r10 i do love the look of them? also i have had the ultra but regret selling it as it was a brilliant little rifle with the ranges of any quarry atb Steve Quote Link to post
rossi_j 99
Get a multishot for night no fiddleing around with pellets :-), maybe a s/h s410. Would be my choice and .177 like si said clearly speaking from a lot of expirience. My 2p .atb. .ste. Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Bah Humbug!!! Get yersen an S200 I shot Si's R-10 and barely hit a target Mind you I was suffering from a distinct lack of sleep, 24 cans of stella; two cans of cider as well as others and dehydration and sunstroke at the time But my baby didn't let me down, she took it all in her stride and got me the trophy even though she was well down on air pressure My baby out shot me with a style and grace all her own :11: Phantom Quote Link to post

Sweeney-Todd 208
Never said a word Si.......thought it mind you Have to agree with Tony of the light side The S200 is a very worthy contender, .177 being ideal for lamping, daytime to obviously. Very light and pointable. The Rifle is outstanding un-reg'd, but a Tench tickle just adds to its potential. Bill. Quote Link to post
