Eventually got the ever illusive crow

Been trying to get a crow for a while. They are so sly and know exactly where you are almost all the time.

 

Sunday though, was a windy overcast day, and there were 5 or 6 hanging around the tops of some trees near by. I managed to get close enough to have about a 40yd shot. Cracker jacked one straight to the ground

 

About time too!

 

Had to borrow my mates FX Typhoon as well

Congrats on your crow mate, i've found out crows are smart on my permission.Nedd to keep changing tactics and had a few blanks when out trying to shoout them. Defo cover your face and hands though.

Well done mate on your kill, 40 yards is a good shot by anyones standards

 

Just to let you know though that the crow looks more like a rook mate

 

The beak seems to resemble a rook more than a crow buddy, but all the same its on the vermin list so well done and congratulations

Sorry, you are correct - was a rook as he was hanging with 5 or 6 where as crows are by themselves or in a pair
