Marksman 934
As wor kid said in his hunting topic I've joined "The Dark Side"& nabbed myself what I would call the bargain of the century! I'd been toying with the idea of an HW100 before wor kid got his but at the time couldnt justify the cash, well wor kid certainly pulled it out the bag for me! I enquired about the rifle....it was in Scotland..... 125 miles away!! and it was still there!!....woohoo!! I arrangend to travel and collect it last night Typically though with work I was on a little trip round the east side of the country (From home to Newcastle then to York then to Grimsby then across the Humber (rip off) Bridge to Hull then back home again!!) But as soon as I got home it was in the car and off to Scotland we went...... The seller wasnt kidding when he said it was like new...... Not a mark on it!....a few test shots and the deal was done.... I've already contaced Adi at A & M Custom Gunsmiths and one of his aluminium cylinders is going to be on it's was on Monday.... All I need now is a decent set of scopes for itbut for now I've adorned it with the Hawke SportHD 3-9x40's off the refurbished Relum! Here are the photo's as I got it.... Cheers for reading and keep your eyes peeled for the hunting topics to follow! Darryl Quote Link to post

For that price I was a bit dubious and thought I could be wasting my cash but the lad was as honest as the day is long! Total cost for the rifle inc travel cost was £380! Darryl Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Nice one Darryl, Got your text, just couldn't reply Rain didn't stop till nearly midnight so I didn't get out. I asked your kid to text you my reply and offer you a coffee on your way off the bridge, I'm litterally about 8 mins away by road from the 1st roundabout off the bridge. Still always another time when your less busy yeah? You certainly got a nice lil bargain buddy Enjoy the shooting and I'll keep my peepers open for your results Phantom Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
cheers for the replies it chrono's at an average of 11.44ftlbs over 5 shots Twinned with the Hawke scope and AA Field I input the info into chairgun pro and it can up with the following info for true mildot calibration..... With 7x mag zero at 25M @ a 1" killzone The trajectory will remain inside the killzone from 6.2 through to 28.5M Then each calibrated mildot will effectively be in 5M steps eg. 1 mildot holdover=30M 2 mildots holdover=35M and so on! I'm a happy bunny to say the least!(pardom the pun) Darryl never mind the hw 100 hows that tornado. have you deafened many rabbits with the noise from it yet. Took it out once mate and it cleared the field...... erm....and the next one....and the one after that I think..... Darryl Quote Link to post
sibaldib 6
What a bargain Darryl. Exactly the same rifle I have and you will be thrilled with the German engineering and the little touches - like not being able to double load and only being able to apply the safety when the gun is cocked. I ended up using Falcon Accuracy plus pellets in mine, which give the same trajectory as a .20 rifle but with the slightly larget frontal area of a .22 pellet. Super accurate gun and a joy to use.
