i would of said 6 weeks is a bit young to be coming away from the bitch but maybe thats just me, good luck with him .

i completely agree!at 6 weeks they still need the dam, less than 8 weeks is a no no for me they've got to a least be old enough for vaccines

but that is a lovely rotty bless :thumbs:

mum stopped producing milk at 3 weeks so had to be bottle feed for two and hes drinkin and eating no probs so pup was more than ready to leave or i wouldnae of took him

its not just about the feeding mate, pups are still learing from the dam at that age.

After breeding several litters over the years and seeing pups with the dam i personal wouldnt let them go

untill at least 8 weeks old even though mine are weaned off the dam by 5 weeks. But if looked after properly you do get a better bond haveing them young. All the best with the puppy i do have a soft spot for a nice rotty :thumbs:

hers my rottweiler pup just got him from belfast yesterday i know its no hunting but hes a cracker and cant wait till hes up father is 12 stone so fingers x he will be big wat u all think of him any ideas for names

 

dont let him get to heavy, 140- 150lb is plenty big enough, When they get over that they loose agilty and gain health probs.?
