Phantom 631
Nice one You shouldn't have any trouble with the police clearing that amount of land for FAC Good luck with your FAC Application and I'm looking forward to the results Phantom Quote Link to post
Pliskin 0
Sounds great whereabouts in North Wales you based matey? Over the east side possibly? Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
You shouldn't have any trouble with the police clearing that amount of land for FAC Hmm, depends on the lie of the land. I know a couple of hundred plus acre farms where you wouldn't get it passed for cf, or even rimmy, because the safe lines of fire just aren't there. I have mine passed on 65 acres, and that was an "only just" pass, and that's a piece of land with no footpaths or anything running through it! Hope that it works out for you mate, you should be ok, as long as there are enough sensible lines of fire. I helped with mine because I'd been over the ground, worked out the lines of fire, and also worked out a couple of spots for high seats. Prepare well for the FEO visit and you'll be fine! markha 99
Cheers lads, Im still building a list of permissions before putting the application in, I do have the FEO coming in the morning for SG application for me and my missus and Ill plug him him for info before putting the FAC application in. I went for a walk round the new permission this afternoon, didnt cover all of it just the first couple of big fields. I didnt see a thing on the ground, but did spook a large 'something' in the rushes, took it by surprise and boy did it bolt fast, I just saw this big thing bounding away and at first thought it was a dog it was so big and quick!, I found the spot it had bolted from, still warm, with a butt width of about 7" and a good 15+" in length! and very flat grass, I can only assume it was a big old hare, I realy did think it was a dog when it ran off and remember thinking 'wow what short ears', but the dark grey fur in the indent in the ground make me stick it as a hare, plus the way it ran, I did have a mooch about in the rushes, but the afternoon was intended as a bit of a reccee.I did take a couple of pics, but to be honest theres more land than you can fit on to a phone camera! Anyway its just fields with sheep, trees, grass etc. Pliskin,West. Matt, I know what you mean, this latest permission would be a bit of a pain for FAC use, because there are roads bounding the outer fields, one is an open to all traffic bridleway, however theres around 3sqkm of internal fields that have no paths or roads through them, so they have a few options for safe lines of fire, its quiet open though, with minimal back stops, lets put it like this - you wouldnt want anymore than one shooter in there at night Quote Link to post
