Cut bottom off plant pot..tape it over end of lamp lens upside down.cut to length for whatever size beam/spread you like. = jobs a gud un. Quote Link to post
chartpolski 27,272
On a Clulite, the bulb holder is attached to the lens by two screws thru' elongated holes. Loosen the screws and slide the bulb holder backwards or forwards to adjust the beam. It's fiddly and has to be done a few times to get it right, even then you may not get a perfect spot ! Cheers. 1 Quote Link to post

I also keep a filter holder attached all the time which helps reduce the peripheral glare round the edge of the beam. I've used them for years and I like them as they're light, small and give ample light for me, whether used with lurchers or on top of the scope on both rimfire and centrefires. I use one, they are very good, and as you have mentioned small and light. I've had mine for 3yrs into it's 4th. No electrical problems what so ever, and good usage time too. Quote Link to post

I agree with the usage time mate as I used one for years thought they were brilliant with a 12volt 7amp battery but when I changed to a 170 it makes the clulite look pathetic better range, better spot, but wouldnt use the 170 with 12 volt 7amp batterys as they dont last long. horses for courses. atb markg Quote Link to post

Yes, that's another thing I like about them, they don't need much maintenance and have a good running time. I got mine just after they came out, and apart from replacing the bulbs a couple of times, and fitting a new plug after I fell down a bank one night (the rest of the lamp was undamaged). I can see the need for more light if you're lamping in very big fields but, as with most things if you're happy with something then stick with it. Quote Link to post
