Hi mate how far does the beam go with no filters on ?

Cheers mike.

It has no problem lighting up the entire cemetery or the paddock from on end to the other (and the far end is already illuminated by the street lights on the A63) so probably 100+ yards

You got the multifunction bulb with the torch?

:hmm: I thought they were "optional xtra's" mine is a straight on/off job.

The strobe will be a pain when lamping, flash of white and their off

Contact the seller and tell him you didn't realize it was multi-function and could you exchange the bulb for a single funtion one.

If you do it nicely, you'll possibly wind up with a free bulb and still keep that one.

You wont go far wrong with one of these, i bought one a while back and ive had quite a few rabbits using it with the lurcher, they take 4x AA batteries which are supplied when you buy one and they seem to last forever.

The LED lenser torches are something else, unfortunately they're not exactly cheap! I have the P17, which was the best part of £60, I also have the M14, which seems to have disappeared from their product line but is still available on eBay for about the same. I also have one of their head torches, which is also great!

The cheap eBay special lamps are ok, but you get so much more functionality with the lenser torches. The only disadvantage with the LED lenser stuff is that it doesn't have the option of a remote switch.

LED Lenser P7 is great. I used my new one last night lamping foxes with the wrapper from a Quality Street toffee as an amber filter and my mate dropped a fox stone dead with his .222 Bruno. We used a laser range finder afterwards and it was about 100m which shows how far it shines even with a filter so certain more than enough for air rifle work which is what I bought it for.

Cheers,

Dave.
