permission

this will be my first season working my two polecat jills, i have got some land on a dairy farm i work for. but i was looking to try and get some more permission, i have noticed area where there are lots of rabbits and i was wondering if anyone had tips on how to approach owners about working my ferrets on their land? :)

start off on the land you got and get a good name for yourself talk to the owner and have an understanding about his job be seen doing a good job pick up rubish thats floating about if he has chickens and fowl report to him sightings of foxes and such. dont be a bain on them do your job quietly and effectively then after a while ask him if he knows the next door farmer he will and will probaly offer to put the word in. but let the owner get to know you over a good while first all farmers talk to each other in the area thats how permisions grow dont expect it all to come within a month sometimes it can take an age. and when you do get the permission you want on the big estates dont forget how you got there keep in touch with the owner who let you on in the first place coz without them you wouldnt have any permission.

 

its all about trust would you let anyone in your back garden is how i was allways taught it.
