got a 100ml bot says on box.treats gastro intestinal round worms lice mange mites of pigs cattle dogs and cats.1ml jag.box is pink with funy writeing on it.havent jagd the dogs yet

Medicine Name:Ivermection Injection

* Active Ingredient:Ivermection

 

- Description:

Ivermectin is derived from the avermectins, a family of highly active, broad spectrum, antiparasitic agents which are isolated from fermentation of the soil organism Streptomyces avermitilis.

 

- Pharmacologic Action:

The product is safe and reliable and rapidly absorbed after administrated, with a long effective duration. Only one time use can treatment and control internal and external parasites. Ivermectin paralyses and ultimately kills parasitic nematodes, arachnids and insects by its effect on the nervous system of these parasites.At the therapeutic doses, Ivermectin has no adverse effect on mammal since it does not readily penetrate their central nervous systems. Ivermectin belongs to the avermectin class of anthelmintic endectocides.

 

- Indication

It is effective against all kinds of internal and external Livestock and Poultry parasites , including internal parasites such as Nematode,pinworm, filaria, Dioctophyma renale, hookworm, Trichinella spiralis and external parasites such as mite,louse, tick, flea, fly,maggot, larvae, etc., Used on horse, cattle, sheep,Camel,deer,pig,rabbit,Chicken,goose, dog,cat, ermine,fox and other Wild Animals. It has good clinical efficacy to treatment of pig scabies, rabbit scabies,Hypoderma bovis, cerebral hydatidosis in sheep, pelle agra of dog and cat, RINGWORM AND SCABIES of rabbit, chicken knee mite, Nasal Redness and swollen,Eperythrozoonosis, Ringworm and Scabies of pig.

 

* Usage and Dosage:

Ivermectin injection should be given by subcutaneous injection at the

recommended dosage by 0.02ml/kg bodyweight in horse, cattle, sheep, Camel, Deer 0.03ml/kg bodyweight in pig. By 0.03~0.06ml/kg bodyweight in rabbit, poultry, dog, cat, marten, fox.

Intramuscular injection: only in pig by 0.03ml/kg bodyweight.

 

* Remarks

1. Transitory discomfort has been observed in some cattle following subcutaneous administration. Tissue swellings at the injection site have been observed. These reactions resolve without treatment.

2. Not smoke or eat while handling the product. Wash hands after use. Keep out of reach of children

 

- Withdrawal period¡¿Cattle,sheep meat 35 days, pig meat 28 days

Be very wary if you are using cattle strength products. These contain ivermectin in much higher concentrations than those found in small animal stuff. Though it is theoretically possible to dose Ivomec (and other large animal ivermectin products) in a concentration appropriate for small animals, even small mistakes in the amount can lead to toxic doses of ivermectin being administered. Better to get the proper concentration designed for dogs.

 

Some dogs may be at higher risk due to a genetic sensitivity to ivermectin and it should be used with extreme caution in these individuals, particularly when used at higher dosages. For any dog with the slightest trace of collie blood it is a big NO NO :nono:
