tdesnos 6
Hi all, Just wanted to say... i finally landed me some permission! It's a meagre nine acres, not pinch to what some of you guys have, but still! Saw a few bunnies and apparently there's an infestation of Magpies! I have plans to decoy, bait and use an Owl decoy to encourage territorial-ism in the critters! Criticism on my plans or further suggestions very much welcomed! Cheers! Quote Link to post
Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi Tris. Phantom 631
Wayyyhaaaayyyyy Finally; Well done and congratulations Triss Told you that you'd get there in the end Persaverance pays off in this game. You mention a 'Meagre" 9 acres, thats twice what I have and I have 7 seperate permissions (eight if you count the old guy next door to the woman who just gave me her back garden ) The old man has been trying to knock over bugs using a 12 guage in his garden granted it is a HUGE garden, but even so So now I'm going to be doing his bunnies as well. Regarding the maggies, stay well hidden stick a bunny out; some people say slit the guts, but when I've done that I've had NO success at all, but when I've laid bugs out intact, I've had lots of interest and indeed two came for a peck of the eyes. Sadly I missed em both and they saw me and stayed out of range Other than that I've had no further experiance with the colourful corvids (yet). Good luck and keep us up to speed with your results. Phantom Thanks matey! Yes it certainly paid off! Oh right, i was under the impression everyone had thousands of acres! That's not too shabby then! Congrats on your new permission too! Yeah, back garden and a 12 gauge, i can't see that ending pleasantly! Bunnies intact huh? I have no experience baiting them at all, just what i've read. Thanks for tip Again, cheers Phantom Quote Link to post

Bradford Lad 74
Thats great news mate, it's a nice feeling when you aquire new permission, as for it only being 9 acres dont worry about that, it's better to have 9 with bunnies on it than 70 with nothing Word of mouth will help with further permission so keep the landowner sweet mate, i've just dropped off a nice bottle of wine to all mine. Good luck and happy shooting BL Quote Link to post
