bird 10,014
dogs for me, maybe a bit harder to train, but you can work them all year.As with a bitch, when they break down, you carnt and after some bitchs are not quite right for a few weeks after. But idid have bitsa bitch had her for 14 years, and she want to bad with her seasons, but she did come very nasty when in heat. Dogs are easier Quote Link to post
Guest fence_hopper
it don't bother me tb both loyal, its all a myth about bitches being more loyal imo. its what you connect with out of a litter. you might not wont blood all over your carpets if your keeping them in the house when in season so it's more practical for a dog etc its what you think you'd like i wouldnt listen to all this bitches are better nonsence. both for me. Trigger 26
my preference is a dog. bitchs seem to mature a bit faster than dogs especialy in the larger breeds. Quote Link to post
Lab 10,979
Defo' dogs for me. Cant be bothered with bitches breaking down in the shooting season, waste of time if they do that. Also like strong dogs for jumping fences. Quote Link to post
Casso 1,261
Bitch wont piss on the ferret box soon as you put it down,, in all honesty,, depends what else you have kenneled too and how you can manage that situation,,and if i have a choice , the drive in the animal, dog or bitch dont matter what sex,, Quote Link to post

owl1 13
dis agree albert we had a lakie an a russel dog who hated each other was fine why lakie was pup decided he wanted to be the boss lol all bitches now an no fighting! although that isnt same for all i know! Quote Link to post
collie/grey 238
I don't mind particulaly, bitches can be temperamental and i have found can be hell of alot more unwillingling to back down in a fight against each other, also when in season can be a totally different dog to what your used to, on the other hand i find some dogs damn right annoying, the ones that always wants a bitch, always pissing everywhere, trying it on with other males, but get a level headed dog i find them more eager to please, more loyal and damn right better looking, but each to their own as long as they work who cares what sex. Ideation 8,217
It's down to the individual dog not the sex. I've always liked bitches, but have two dogs now. Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
Overall I believe dogs are rougher than bitches but I find the bitches hunt a bit better. Quote Link to post
