ferretertom 7
It would be cheeper to get your hob vasectomised mate i paid £41 for that for a jill to be spayed its probly double that im sure someone else will let you borrow a dog ferret to bred with. Quote Link to post
The one 8,589
Be better getting your hob snipped cheaper op and you can use him on both your jills , getting the jill dones a bigger operation for a ferret Quote Link to post
bert the fert 28
Our vet charges around 100 quid to spay a jill. Quote Link to post
The one 8,589
Its just a personal prefernce with me as well as i work jills i always think what happens if she turns out to be a cracking worker you cant bred from her to keep the line going . Where as getting the hob done you can always borrow a complete hob from a mate and still breed from the jill a couple of years down the line Quote Link to post

The one 8,589
ive got ten jills and i run them with a snipped hob as Repeated use of the jill jab can cause lumps under the injection site And last year most came into season three and four times each So looking at the jills health and cost i figure a snipped hobs the best option for me Quote Link to post

I did wonder because the jill jab has only ever been a short term solution for us, and in some applications doesn't even drop them out of season properly. So i've always spayed. Quote Link to post
kobi2k4 2
looking at 45quid to get a jill spayed at the vets i use Quote Link to post
max abell 198
£60 to get a jill spayed and £60 to get a hob castrated or £90 to get a hob vasectomised from my local vets but shop around because vet prices vary a lot when our hob was vasectomised we were getting quotes up to £150 what a fu**ing joke Quote Link to post
bert the fert 28
looking at 45quid to get a jill spayed at the vets i use It really winds me up how much variation there is in vets charges. There should be some kind of ombudsman that regulates their prices, i think. Quote Link to post
