Mr Hunter 31
Just been browsing on Lurcherlink and was amazed by some of the pups handed in at pounds etc.A litter of lovely Saluki x pups which have been handed in @ a pound so if anyone is on look out for one it might be worth checking them out and best of all they will be free or a small donation and i suppose its a good deed giving them a second chance in life.Heres a few pics! Mr Hunter 31
They are not neutered but i think you take them on agreement that you get them done between 6 & 9 months for obvious reasons.I think the 3 brothers and sisters were just handed in at a pound in Stoke which is strange as i bet you could get a fair price for these i bet unless owner needed shot immediately. On the thread somebody commented saying they were pure saluki but i not sure. Guest jt750
Last time i looked on lurcherlink it was around £170 to take a dog from them. I can't see them being dogs taken away from coursing lads because its usually rspca who deal with that Quote Link to post

Guest jt750
Just had a look and these are with Greyhound gap whatever that is??? Lurcherlink and greyhound gap i believe to be small independant charities who find 100's of lurchers and greyhounds ( ex racers ) new homes every year. they often go around pounds taking in dogs that are on death row (through no reason of their own..usualy because no one wants them and they need the space) in rspca pounds. I mean what do you think happens to the 1000's of greys every year that don't make the grade and lurchers that are lost dumped or taken in ...the dog world is no bed of roses if you're an ordinary racing grey Quote Link to post
Sully 3
Hi all, what du thinks in the breeding of the bottom right dog, is it Saluki x GH ? if so what height will it make du recon ? Craig Quote Link to post

Guest chook
Last time i looked on lurcherlink it was around £170 to take a dog from them. I can't see them being dogs taken away from coursing lads because its usually rspca who deal with that Its between £.0 for a pup and £130 for a bitch, dont forget it will be vaxed - neutered if old enough, chipped, flead, wormed, and what ever else needs doing, a lot of the time kaye runs at a loss, LL is totaly self funding, so a lot of time kaye ends up having to dip in to her own funds, if its the right home for the dog and the dog is going to be with that person for the rest of its natural life, then Kaye does consider working homes, although unless its in the best intrest of the dog, then the dog has to be kept in the home, not kenneld. Gap its about £140, dont know if thats for adults and pups or pups are different set donation, same again, everything is already done - with Gap they dont rehome to working homes, pet homes only as far as i can recall, and again their dogs can not be kenneld outside at all. Dont know about chloe, but the other saluki x pups were owner surrender, in otherwords the owner took them to the pound himself, unfortunaly its happening a lot lately, people do realy need to think before breeding, as there are so many lurchers being dumped in the pound at the moment, from adults to pups - every rescue is full to bursting and they are still coming in - in droves.
