deanothehunter 34
air arms field are better in my gun but you get nearly 100 damaged ones in every tin super domes as accurate just lower powered over distance about 10.8 on chrony gun is gunpower stealth and its fussy about what its fed Edited July 1, 2010 by deanothehunter Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
At 10.8 at the muzzle .22 superdomes have 6.75 ft/lbs left at 30 yards and at 40 they have 5.77 ft/lbs It takes less than 4ft/lbs to drop a bunny. Actually I used my HW40 last week to put a bunny down granted it was Point Blank, but it only has an output of about 2.3 ft/lbs. It was an adult Doe that had gotten tangled in a wire. One shot in the brain and she was lifeless Phantom Quote Link to post
deanothehunter 34
cheers phantom thats good to know then,...but short of taking chrony and shooting through the sensors at 30-40 yardsi was wondering...cheers again mate... Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
remember that shot placement is a lot more important than power so even if your gun is powereful enough to kill a rabbit at 40 yrds, you need to make sure you cant shoot accuratly enoguh at 40 yrds. Quote Link to post

I kill rabbits all day long at 50 yard's with my HW100 KT .177. I shot a young hare at 50 yards just last week and the pellet went in the left eye and exited the right eye with RWS super domes. zini 1,939
Something wrong with you rifle mate. My stealth and Storm where shooting Bisley 21 grain Magmums at 11.8FP, id get it checked or try a heavier pellet. Ref the AA Fields, after speaking to Tony Wall yesterday the RWS Super Fields are the excact same pellet as the AA Field and the FX 16 grain pellet but come from a better made pellet die. I got a tin yesterday to use in my HW95K and HW97KT and i didnt find a bad one in the tin. I shot a lased 41 metres woody this morning with my 95K with them.
