jasper65 6
Got a bit fed up today listening to the Pigeons in the woods and finally blew the cobwebs off the gun and took a quick Mooch just before Dark, I didn't have to go far before one noisy Pigeon gave his position away 3/4's the way up in Beech tree.... Not much to tell really except it was a nightmare to get a clear shot due to the Folige which left me litteraly with only a clear head shot when he decided to keep still, again the Air Ranger hit its Target and down came a Hawks Lunch ........ Was just about to give Jasp an SP for that and then realised it was Davy's post Mods are such bad slut's they dont get any points do they? Very nice though Jasper on all points Is that the rifle with the micro computer built in with electronics to chrono each shot and adjust the amount of air it releases for perfect power output? Looks so sweet and sexy it does Phantom Quote Link to post

andyz 30
Hice shooting Jasper and nice gun too. Phantom I think the Air Ranger is the mechanical version, the one that looks very similar is the Air Wolf that has all the electronic wizardry. ATB, Andy Quote Link to post

jasper65 6
Nice one guys much apreciated! its now minced and gone into some very hungary Hawks ... I havn't been able to take part in many posts over the last couple of months, its been hectic here with one thing and another! I'm surprised I'm not in Funny farm to be honest ... Its just a standard Air Ranger Tony without all the fandango electronics, Don't get me wrong I like the Airwolf but it seems there are far too many gadgets for my liking to go wrong....... Nice one Zini!! do you know mate I would have probably taken you up on that a few months ago! the gun was shooting all over the place which turned out that the 4 grub screw that secure the Barrel was loose, I was pulling my hair out thinking the gun had gone tits up but thankfully it was just a minor problem... jasper65 6
hi ya jasp nice shooting buddy good to see you at them matey shay great picture too jasp lovely gun as well how you finding the gun ? shay Nice one Shay . there was a few niggly things that I wasn't happy about with the gun mate, one was the problem with the barrel being loose, the other was the Barrel shroud which was held on with two AF grub screws which just wouldn't tighten up enough, I finally removed the shroud and Tapped out the holes to 4mm and fitted a couple of larger grubs! I also slid some 13mm O Rings down the barrel to support it where the silencer adaptor is fitted, the adapator actually slides over the end of the barrel and threads internaly into the shroud which was a bit crap, the O Rings help support the unit a bit... the other is the Magazines! the indexing on the mags wear a bit and sometimes will click round two pellets instead of one, the ended up ripping these apart too and bending a small clip inside which seems to get worn in time... apart from that is now shoots pretty sound! the only thing I have noticed is it does have a sweet spot, when it drops down to around 150BAR it all comes together and shoots at its most consistant, is this normal with Pre Charge guns? Hope this makes sense mate Tony hi jasp just ot of interest, how did ya go about fixing them (grub screws) that is I had to muster up the guts and remove the action Davey! there was 4 Allen bolts in each corner followed by a couple of screws where the mag fits in, the action and Barrel then lifted away. Under the action was two small grub screws with a couple more at the top of the action, these secure the barrel and all was slightly loose! I cranked them up mate! put it together and re-zeroed, the gun was way out as it seems when I cranked up the screws it pulled the barrel to where it should be... It fine now Davey but I have to say why didn't daystate just thread the barrel into the action instead of arseing about with Grub screws? sounds like they took the cheapest way out mate...
