whippeter69 88
Well after regaining my much loved permission that surrounds my house i went for a walk with my mates .22 Webley Stingray. Got there, had a word with the farmer and off i went. To the first field and theres a track that goes on the side of it, so i walked down there and then came to a corner and saw a rabbit about 50 yards i guessed on the track. So i lent against the post and put his head between the 2-3 mill dot and one mill dot to the left for allowance of wind and pulled the trigger. The all i see is him jump forward and i thought id missed. Walked down to see that the pellet had struck perfectly on his head, counted back to where i shot from and it was 55-yards i was over the moon. Where i shot from The scope was set at 9 here and you can only just see the rabbits ass Entry Exit So carried on and shot another rabbit about 15yards away in the head again and then started on the ferels. I must have seen about 50 there but was only walking around and just poping them off as i came across them. In the end i shot 8 of the buggers but theres plenty mire about. Just a pick of one of my sniper points. And a little video clip of a ferel being shot. So i had a good time and was happy as larry with my 55 yard head shot. Cheer,Whippeter69 Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
That bunny is an interesting colour, I'd keep that skin and tan it! Is the pigeon on the left a collared dove? Looks a lot smaller than the rest! Lots of tasty meat for you there, get to skinning and gutting! Quote Link to post

Its because the rabbit was left out in the rain to attract crows lol No its a new years ferel, i seen a few small ones Quote Link to post

I put the leather sling on the fence post and the things in leaning on before i shoot just to protect to wood. Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
The surface that the rifle rests on affects the accuracy. A different rest will cause different harmonics in the rifla and can cause a significant shift in POI. That's why most people rest the rifle on their hand, as you can make the rest fairly constant. Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi Whippeter. Excellent shooting there buddy congratulations on the 55ydr, terrific shot on live quarry with a springer. You certainly had a nice mixed bag mate. As already said, the permission look's like an interesting shoot. The pictures were good to, nice post. ATB. Bill. Quote Link to post
