all sorted now...

alright lads, managed to zero the r10ch back to normal now that the mags sorted out, as i went up the valley to zero it i saw one of the farmers cows was out on the road so i rang him up to let him know and got on with the job in hand. cant get a signal there(one of many reasons i love the place!) so he'd rung me back and left a message sayin he needed to talk to me about shooting.being a pessimist i thought i was probably gonna lose my permission or summat but it turns out he's got another bit of ground for me, only about 5 acres bnut apparently hopping with bunnies. gonna go check it out tonight but it sounds like a lampers paradise from what he's saying. should be fun!

trouble is i've only a tracer atom at the mo and its pony, so i'm waiting on a new torch having tested an l.e.d. one with a strobe on it(i'm hoping the strobe'll squat the bunnies).

if it turns out to be a good un i'll post the details about it as soon as i can get my grubby mitts on it

all the best, wurz

Sweet

I though a woman was gonna give me grief about shooting a couple of weeks ago, turns out she wanted me to sort the bunnies out for her :gunsmilie:

she also mentioned another woman who had loads of trouble with bunnies and its the old woman who has all the land next to the cemetery and paddock I shoot. I'd had a friend tell her I'll do it for her, but nothing ever came of it :( then this new permission woman said "I'll have a word with her" Cool I thought, but doubt it'll do any good though

I got to the new permission yesterday and the owner called me to her kitchen, she said "I told Jean about how youve dealt with my rabbits and she would like you to call in at her house on your way home" :boogie:

So I did do and this old lady took me round her land, Its bigger than I thought  and its HEAVING with fur :clapper:

Now I've got speedies home turf, he better watch out. I dropped 4 kits on her back lawn while she was showing me about and she said "Just knock on the door and let me know when your about wont you? other than that, come when ever your available"

So a good day for you and me yesterday :clapper:

good work fella! i had a look last night, and its got fun written all over it- its a triangle shape with a main road running along one side, a school on the other and a footpath running through the middle, so i'm gonna have to be careful and get the warning signs up on the gates, and inform the local nick when i go. i did see about 20 or so rabbits so at least that'll compensate for the hassle but its gonna be ambush only as its just been mown for silage.

i hate summer ambushing- i keep nodding off while i'm waiting in the sun, i fell asleep for over 2 hours once, and woke up to find two kits in thumping range laughing at me!! :icon_redface:

gonna go over monday evening so i'll report how it went with some photos after that. theres a church heaving with rabbits on the other side of the third side of it so who knows, that might lead somewhere too

have a cracking weekend guys, wurz

Hey Chris,

:welcomeani: to the Loony Bin (I don't often leave this section so didn't catch your intro in the New members section oh ang on a sec, yes I did just didn't reply ).

Good bunch of guy's and gal's in here :friends: but we do get spied upon by some :wankerzo4: 's, Morons and Inbread  banjo playing muck eating rednecks :guitar: looking for a :boxing: so we do tend to look out for each other and get shut of that type.

However I digress! Back to your statement

Its hard work looking for your first bit of land but Patience and Perseverance Pays Dividends :toast: in the long run.
