ANNUAL ROOK SHOOT

Recommended Posts

Me,woodga,Rob Sharpe and another couple of lads went for our annual rook shoot yesterday...............................weather was scorching, sport was fast and furious at times!!

We were using shotguns and air rifles.....................this is the bag that we managed to pick...................308..............god knows how many were left hanging in the trees and not picked!!!

Another cracking day out with the lads!!!!!

Here in the westcountry it tis traditional to shoot nancy boys, hughfernywitherspoon, ginger children and seagull's but only on sundays :good:

I find the nancy boys hardest to hit, due to there skipping

Good bag that Foxhunter :good:

Why shoot those poor little branchers. They havent even had a chance of a life.Rooks do more good than harm for farmers anyway.I reckon its a sick, cruel and totaly unsporting excuse just for you to pull the trigger.Try going back to enjoying our flora and fauna in the summer months and take what you need in the winter months.(WE should all take a leaf out of the American indians outlook on life.)
