I stop watching at "better trained, lead and ect ect than any other country". I know you guys are patriotic and that but theres no need to be dillusional.

They obviously meant any country other than the UK.... :whistling:

The thing is, when you're giving thanks to the young lads who give up their lives serving in the name of the country, how else are you meant to praise them? Do you think that the French give speeches honouring 'The most brave of the cowardly' when ever one of her sons might fall over and break his own neck running away from the enemy? :D

 

When someone's mother dies they may eulogise in church that they have lost the best mother ever. Is it wrong to think of your own in the highest possible regard above all others?

70 years ago today over 200,000 men were plucked of the beaches of

dunkirk , a few returned today to pay tribute to there fallen comrades

old men who put on the uniform to protect the country , who were sent

across the channel to be met by a far supperier force , the were driven

back to the beach head trapped, the call went out to every availible boat

big and small to go to the beaches of dunkirk to ferry the men to waiting

royal navy ships, these men were not soldiers or navy, just civies the storys

i have heard today on radio and tv , have shocked and choked me , heros

them all :notworthy:

Average age 20 and a half just out their nappies :wallbash: plenty of cannon fodder for the war lords of the world it makes me sick

theres british 18 year olds out in afghan right now

 

 

My cousin spent his 18th birthday driving a tank through Kosavo. He also spent new years eve 1999/2000 there.

Well i was messing about it annoying me. I still dont think there better than us :p:clapper: :clapper: :clapper::toast:

 

I like working with yank soldiers there a funny bunch but you can have a proper laugh with them.
