Bloody wind

Recommended Posts

Back out to the same permission that my last post was done from for a bit mooch . The wind was swirling in gusts and then dropping a little . To be honest i was in 2 minds wether to have a go or not but in the end thought im hear now what the feck .

Any ways i will keep this short today .

Mr woodie on deck about 30 yards away so cross hairs on his bonce sqweeze trigger off and whoosh such a gust of wind . Mr woodie is down on his back but on inspection rather than pellet being in his head it had taken him in but it was lights out for him possibly his spinal cord smashed to bits but bird was stone dead ,

five sqweekers were taken all head shots bar 1 which again the wind affected dropping pellet into neck but again no suffering watched it drop through the scope not a twitch . As allways with shooting like a clean kill no suffering but this wind was hard work.

Just about to pack up when i turns the corner and spies a maggie on the deck rooting about for his tea. Well Mr maggie let me serve you some accupell lead  lights out for him 1 less nest robber about .

And with that i called it a nite

Excellent going FV :clapper:

I don't mind shooting into or with the wind, I know that shooting into the wind, my pellet will rise a touch and with the wind it will fall a tiny touch (neither are a problem at 30 yards or less).

Its the sodding cross wind that I won't shoot in now. Had two bunnies get drilled through the eyes in strong wind.

So now its either wait for it to die-down or more often than not; no shot by choice (well common sense really)
