I am after some day old chicks as ferret food but dont know where to get them from? what do other members do for their chicks. Was thinking about approching a chicken farm and seeing what they say. Also, are they ones that have been still born/died naturally or have they been culled? Any info appriciated. Quote Link to post
The one 8,595
There the male chicks that have been killed ,why would you want to feed them to your ferret there just fluff in a shell never had time to build muscle etc ,and the fluff can irrate the mucus in the ferrets throat .far better feeding out there rabbits, pigeons etc Quote Link to post

Malt 379
Mine loved them, but you need to feed a fair few of them if that's all you're giving them. I tried them with mine a few years back, they need about three or four per ferret a day. Any less and they started to loose weight. Quote Link to post
