:D No, dated 1954, i clean it everytime i use it with wd-40, keeps the rust at bay. ;)

Frank.

tidy i use 3in one seems to work aswell :)

I keep a 5 gal bucket half full of sand in the corner of the shed and pour a quart of cheap motor oil into the sand. Plunge the shovel, or any other digging tool, into the sand a couple times and it comes out scoured clean and nicely oiled.

Same here. Learned that at Ag. College. Probably the most useful thing I did learn before I dropped out

this link i put up earlier in the thread has stopped doing the bulldog brand altogether.

i ordered a new one a week or so back on line and ended up on the phone chasing them for it.

had to settle for a T handle type they say the brands being replaced by some called "hardman"

never heard of them but they say there the same qaulity but cheaper to buy....

Thats right Mucker, one of them cheapy warehouse place's was advertising bulldog garden tools at silly price's in the local rag.I went to check it out and it was all labelled "hardman" i thought the place was trying it on so gave it a wide berth, untill my mate put me right about "hardman" being the same stuff as "bulldog"
