Wolly 4
a quick answer to those replies, its my opinion on this so called sport so lads take a chill pill,i dont think its a form of hunting so the people callin names stay to yer keyboard hunting feildsports, whatever ye wanna call it,but i cant see the comparison with snaring wouldnt the world be a great place if we all taught the same ahhhhh Just to enlighten you on the treatment of hares by coursing clubs. No coursing club man likes to see hares getting killed it happens very rarely nowadays due to muzzles longer slips and healthy hares.dogs will not be slipped unless the hare is in perfect health. All hares are treated and dosed for worms and other parasites by vet.Hares are all tagged and can only be ran once.Your criticism seems very rich from somebody who boasts in an earlier thread about shooting a hare.I would imagine a hare has a much better chance against two hounds being the superb athlete that he is than against an experienced hunter like yourself lifting a gun and with great skill shooting the easiest animal of them all to shoot, because he runs from a gun in a straight line or just sits their.I put up this thread to let people see the dirt and the filth that are allegedly protecting animals rights i never thought for one minute that such a thread would get the slightest bit of criticism from hunting people. But i suppose it takes all kinds.Keep up the straight shooting.PS I am not a member of any coursing club nor never have been nor have i ever owned a hound.LIVE AND LET LIVE. well said mate i think his the fella on the other side of the fence could be , who's to no , clubs put time and effort into it to stay legal and all they get is abuse greyhound c*unts ? theres dog men out there doing stuff thats more illegal as crack but the ones that make LEGAL clubs get all the abuse Quote Link to post

Great White Hunter 78
I have helped catch hares and saw them get treated for worms and get vacinations Once the meet is over they are returned to where they where caught . If anything the hares benifit from the catch and release . the clip Just goes to show what these people will do in the name of animal rights . Quote Link to post
neil cooney 10,416
Actually Aisling, it looks to me that your anti-coursing. That makes you an anti. No park coursing is not hunting, no one said it was, but it is a fieldsport. One with a massive following. By the way, the only legal way to course hares here in Ireland is under rules at a coursing meeting run by the I.C.C. wether it be open or park. Also hares netted for a park meeting must be brought back and released in the same place they were netted. So park coursing doesn't actually take any hares out of the Irish countryside. They should stop their investigation and just lock up that red haired nutter bernie-ultimately she is responsible for cruelty to this hare(she had no problem claiming it before people noticed the wire) Quote Link to post
