another trip out

Recommended Posts

Hi every one

Just a quick one this. After spending Friday evening fitting de-twangers to both my AAS410’s,so gave chaz a ring and of we went to check our zeros.that went well chaz was out for the evening for a meal and. I went over to gainfield where chaz & I control the bunny’s in a horse paddocks. I left the house at 3:00pm and got to the permission at 3:45pm had a quick look around and took some video footage for you guys, and there was a lone bunny.

This wasn't alone for long as it decided to jump in to my game bag :whistling: . This lone bunny was ranged at 34yds so right on my zero! As you can see it put its head down tinkin I would not see it. The bunny was wrong!! This shot took me longer than my average 12 seconds when shooting from a scopecam as its not that easy to do, so takes a lot more concentration but more rewarding when you connect! This one I nearly lost too! As it also went down its hole, but this hole wasn’t that deep so just put me arm in and grabbed it out.

It was a lovely sunny day a 6mph wind; you would have thought that they would be loads of bunny’s out!! But this was not to be :censored: , me tinks that cliff the land owner has had it ferreted. As this is usually a productive place to bag! But I was still enjoying the time out! Despite the bag counts. I stayed out in the field till I lost the light, and had spotted another 2 bunny’s but they had clocked me and went straight to ground again DOH!

Did not even get the cross hairs on them!

As I lost the light, I went back to me den to get set up for some lamping. And also some video footage of the night vision on the handy cam, as requested by stealthy,so this is for you stealthy.

Then I went for a mooch! And used the night vision on handy cam with the lamp! I did try it with just the lamp in normal mode but no joy, but I am working on it?

And it worked well; this footage was out to 37yds so me tinks not bad. Another clip for stealthy

And when in doubt, don’t take the shot!

This part of the field was in the first bit of footage, its where there is a small plantation and the bunny’s are wrecking it. I shot 2 in here but could only find one as the holes were right by them and no sign of it there! And missed 2 as well :censored: . Me tinks that this part of the permission has got something in common with the Bermuda triangle :laugh:

any ways i hope you enjoyed the post, as much as i enjoyed my trip out!

Nice shooting from the couple I viewed :clapper:

Don't know if its my lcd screen, but I couldn't see that bunny apart from its eye's Can you make out the bunny shape on the NV?
Any chance you can make the rest of them public so we can see the rest my dear fellow

I once took a shot at the about 1 cm to the side of an eye (my light was failing fast and the eye was all I could make out). Turns out the bunny was facing the opposite way and my pellet whizzed in front of its eyes a good clean miss
If it had been sat the other way or I had fired 1 cm to the other side it would have been a surgical brain shot. Talk about lucky for bugs!

Phantom
