hi lads ive got a 5 year old bitch that would like 2 have some pups from but there is 1 problem shes never had a season does any one no if the vet can give her a jab to bring her in ?

Maybe they could mate i dont know but its ussually mother natures way of saying "dont do it" a shame if shes a good worker but theres probably a good reason she isnt coming in at all,i wouldnt do it,just my own personal opinion.

hi sounds to me that your dog as been spayed.because if a bitch aint come in season by 12-13 months old.then there's something medically wrong go to the vet to do some bloods gget back to on that..have you got another bitch because 1 bitch can bring the other in season hope this helps ....

it could be possible that your bitch is a hermaphrodite;- does she have enlarged genitalia? and be of a masculine type

 

or she could be having silent seasons, try running her with a male;- you could strike lucky!

 

or another possibility esp if her parents were older or linebred/inbred is that she was born without a uterus or ovaries

 

you may be able to find a bitch from the same breeding if you want to keep her strain.

the jab that the vet gives a bitch if a dog did catch her in heat and u didnt want pups that same jab brings them straight into heat
