why you need anything else, 270 good knock down, for most deer, 762 mosin nagant k, intresting rifle.

I think I must be missing something, but if you just want to have a play with something else for the deer then it's pretty obvious you need to try a .243....you'll probably get rid of the .270 after that as well!

If you reload, have a look at the 7mm-08! Fantastic round, very capable and you can take it abroad boar shooting too. I have just applied for a variation to possess one. As well as the 6.5 obviously

+1 for the 7mm08 or get a couple smaller calibres- I have .222 or roe in scotland as well- its a fun round or foxing and long range rabbits too!
