skinz 11
SS,the reason theres no family resembelence is cause he isnt related to them in any way,hes their daddys friend Donk, over the years ive met some great blokes into the bulls, some even matched their dogs but they were very family orientated and straight blokes that put the most into their dogs and genuinely cared for them.I know it sounds like a contradiction but they did compete with them and were far from scum.Ive met a lot of undesirables into terriers and lurchers too, their in all aspects of life. Its just highlited by the rags of papers and tv on the bull terriers. These dogs will never be seen in good light by most due to the ongoing campaign of hate against the breed. nice to see someone who actually knows the crack and talks some sense. gnasher16 31,437
The truth is its just a different generation now and a different society.Back when we had the bulldogs the true value in them was the competetive element, the sport of dog matching was always very respectful, sure there was the odd wrongdoing but the real beauty in these dogs was their honesty, there is no bullshit in a game dog he relies on you to prepare him and you rely on him to do what comes natural.Whatever the outcome a handshake at the end and best wishes for the future was expected. Unfortunately today the breed attracts the youngster fashion gangster element and the honesty and respect has completely gone out of the game and the breed. It was this honesty, respect and moral fibre that made the breed.....if they cant be maintained in the same fashion they was back then,i for one would prefer to see the breed just die out in this country and let the parts of the world where the breed can flourish have the benefit.I would rather remember what they were than have to see what they now are !....this breed never should have been a popular breed, too many first time dog owners get themself a pit bull these days and its like giving a teenager a ferrari...they are just not beginners dogs in pet homes or heavily populated areas. Personally i would rather visit a handful of true representatives of the breed on a foreign land than witness a lot of poorly bred poorly raised dogs here that are not worthy of carrying the breed name. Ok peddling is peddling and he certainly wasnt the only one back then, but peddling something thats illegal, banned that you have very little knowledge of yourself, like they are doing today.......well thats just idiotic at a whole new level. Its just that a few idiots up in s.yorks got them in the early 80s and didnt do the breed any favours churning pups out.atb dell
Hollie 21
i have a young springer spaniel and she is one hell of a dog she will do what eva i say and in my opinion staffys and pitbulls are one hell of a ugly dog who on earth would like to be seen with such an ugly thing. oh i know what it is LOOK LOOK im f***ing bad ive got a dog thats got lockjaw. my mums mate had a staffy for 9years and that was suposed to be good around children and that till one day it ripped her face off while she was a sleep if that was my mum i would of shoot it right in the f***ing head with a 243. anyway thats my opinion u guys can say what u like but it wont bother me as i have more things to think about than b**ch each other down HAHA you IDIOT, would you care to explain 'lock jaw' i have a leggy staffy and she looks nothing like a pit only people who can tell the differerence between these dogs will no a staff doesnt look like pit I adore the bull breeds, in particular the TRUE APBT, the trouble is, so many of the dogs over here have been bred from shit to make money, like ANY breed of dog, you breed shit to shit, you get shit, sadly the pitts can do alot more damage than a yorkie, therefor they are seen as dangerous. If i could get hold of a well bred, APBT terrier (and it wasnt illegal) i wouldnt hesitate to own one, i wouldn't however, buy one from some liitle chav who doesn't give a shit about breeding for temperment
Hollie 21
Have a read of this, some are clearly pitts but alot are very obviously the humble old staffie Again, people dont know their elbow from their arse and they are in charge of taking these dogs away to be destroyed and they are getting it VERY wrong......ALOT! Think how you would feel if it was YOUR pet http://www.ddawatch.co.uk/in_memory.html
