LOL Bill,

What Regt did you serve in pal and where was you stationed buddy?

I have lived there before too mate and was a deer and wild boar hunter, I did my German Jag Schein (Hunting Licence), but to tell you the truth its boring as hell sat in the high seats waiting for a deer or a boar that is on the shooting list at that particular time of year to turn up and be a target :whistling: .

Half the time the a deer would turn up and not be on the list that month :wallbash: .

I will get back into it again i think though and give it another go.

I will get myself a 308 (7.62 calibre) mate and see how I do.

Firstof all Si - a great video.

Secondly this is fantastic shooting with a springer and .22 to boot.

I agree with Bill that you should show some hold techniques that enable you to get this sort of accuracy. How's the recoil on this rifle comapred to the Chinese one that you tuned?

Finally, I think you are so good with this, you may as well get rid of the R10 and HW100 :whistling:

Cheers

I only have 3 years left in the military pal then ive done 22 years and can retire to another job.

Something that i am interested in lots.

I fancy breeding trout on a farm or becoming a pest controller specilising in the use of a air rifle.

Id also like to work on a camping site somewhere with fishing ponds.

Ive got a level 4, 5, and 6 from the institute in leadership and management, but are not to interested in management at the moment unless the job flicks my switch buddy.

Hi Richard,

No mate i think that my R10 and HW100KT are happy to be staying mine LOL  .

Thanks for the comments mate anyway.

I will try and get some footage put together mate on how i use a springer.

To be honest though pal i dont hold it or shoot it any different to how i hold and shoot my PCPs or shoot a military rifle.

The same technique is used all the time.

The military teach you to shoot using something called the Marksmanship principles.

Here they are but put into civilian terms for people on this section

1. The position and hold of your rifle must be firm enough to support your rifle correctly

2. The rifle must point naturally at the target without any other effecting influences.

3. Your sight alignment and eye relief must be correct at all times

4. Your shot must be released and followed through correctly, this includes your breathing

I can go into these principles in more detail on video and see if this helps people out with their shooting technique.

This is all i use when i shoot.

LOL Richard :whistling:

Ill see what i can do tomorrow if the wind is down in my woods pal.

Ill take my rifle rest with me pal so should get some good results fingers crossed.

Ill extend the range to 50 metres with the Pro Sport if i can find enough space in the woods.

Ive thought of another filming technique this evening pal.

Im going to zoom in to show the distance to the target, zoom out to a viewable distance, and then after the shot im going to zoom back out so viewers see the shot is still at 50 metres.

Im sure people think im trying to pull their legs with distance :wallbash:

hi zini

nice shooting again  with the springer, but it does not surprise me after all you are using an AIR ARMS

i had a AATX200HC .22 which could get good results,at these ranges! which goes to show that AA are still producing quality springer air rifles  despite the GOOD! competition :victory:

well done buddy & good shooting

regards

Hi Davy pal,

Yes Air Arms quality is defo top class mate isnt it?

Just goes to show that you dont need to have a Air Wolf to hit long range targets.

Im pretty certain with the quality of HW, Air Arms and BSA plus others i havent listed (not to offend others) that they all produce rifles now with an accuracy better than the shooter can actually shoot if matched with the correct pellet.

Im off to do some more shooting today, and am going to see how the Pro Sports does at 50 metres on 30mm, 34mm and 40mm targets.

The 30mm and 34mm are well within the kill zone size and the 40mm target being just 0.05 of a inch outside.

Ill keep you up dated
