poacherman 353
i agree with bosun. if my young dog got a hare at this time the now a would still be happy. the buck hares dont slow down in the summer. a dont agree in going for them at this time of year but if its a one off well happy days. well done you and the dog mate. hope she gives it good in the new season atb poacherman 1 Quote Link to post
wirral countryman 2,110
I suppose the Wirral Country 'Know It All' is right and no respect is to be gained for posting about an out of season hare BUT where he is wrong, is the bit about it being 'no big deal'....... Well it is to this lad! It's his dogs first hare and no matter what time of year it is, to this lad, knowing his dog has done it is a 'very big deal'...! No, it may never take a strong January hare but I hope he now knows that he'd be better to see the summer out and then he can go at 'em with a vengance next season! I must apologise as I never seen the date, atb, wirralman Edited April 14, 2010 by wirral countryman Quote Link to post

Of course I agree with you on the summer game job but what gets me is that it can be too easy to 'knock' on here when 'our' (folks who have been around the block a bit) first duty would be to educate and promote and my first thoughts were that 'if' that hare was taken out of season, well ok, it ain't right but I wouldn't knock the lad for one hare and not knowing the circumstances to it getting caught but its good to see someone well chuffed with the young dog he's now very proud of, just looking at the photo type you can see that. I'd like to think that he'd follow on in the same mould in the forthcoming season! 'Ideal world' type logic, well maybe, as for knowing the game, i'd like to think i'll always be learning and no, i don't have a problem with your posts, if I did, then yes, I'd post or/and pm you. Do we have a mutual friend?? Atb Just read your last post Wirralman... no worries Edited April 15, 2010 by Bosun11 Quote Link to post
