zini 1,939
Hi guys, After I shot the jackdaw today on scope camera I carried on waiting for a squizzer to pop its head out a dray, but it never happened. After a while of waiting I decided to go for a stalk about to see if there were any woodies about, as I fancied a woody and lemon grass Tai soup for my tea. Luckily for me I came across 2 of them over a period of about 30 minutes. Both were sitting in ever green trees thinking that they were out of sight. The first one I saw at about 25 metres and was given half a mil dot hold under to score a perfect brain shot, and the second one was spotted at about 35 metres as it was sat towards the end of a branch in perfect view. That one was given 1 mil dot hold over, hitting it just next to the eye socket. Both birds were dispatched very humanely. Here are some photos from today Si Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Sweet shooting I went into Hull today to meet RiffRaff for a coffee and a natter. Walking down the side of the station there was a Collard Dove sat on the fence. I walked right past it and it turned on the fence post and brushed my head with its tail feathers. If I'd not had my hands in my pockets I could have twatted it with a back hander and had it for tea! Its mate on the next post wasn't so impressed by my proximaty and took off before I got within 5 feet. Why cant they be this placid when I have my gun in my hands? Phantom Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Hi Tony, Its because they know that when you have the rifle, they are going to eat some lead and think better of staying within 55 metres of you pal . Hi Richard, I hope that you like the new DVD pal. Si Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Aaron, HFT doesnt really flick my switch buddy to tell you the truth pal. Having a scope and not being able to change your parallex from shot to shot is something i cant understand I think that i would be able to do ok over the course and hit a few targets but i know that i wouldnt have the same rush as when you shoot and humanely kill some vermin.
