patdahat 41
while lamping with the 12v 55w white halogen bulb get's the distance and plenty of area viewing, but when the red or blue lens is on the lamp it greatly reduces the distance of the light, im just wondering if there is a 12v 55w halogen bulb that is red in colour, just wondering if anyone has seen such a bulb or if they even exsist. JohnGalway 1,043
I can't answer your question, but, I've found using an Amber coloured filter doesn't cut the light down near as much as the others.

dog fox 16
sounds like a lazerlite your using ,if it is try putting a 100w bulb in the same thats in the striker ,it will give you better distance with the red filter on ,other than that get a striker they better for running dogs with a better beam ,the lazerlite is better for shooting though ....jmo hope this helps edited to add it will half the life of your battery though Edited January 15, 2010 by dog fox
