genuine 81
Last 9 days digging, jam2004 dog n natives badforthebadger and myself set out on some permission early last week keeper having trouble with foxes,we tried a few earths and nothing at home but they had been used recently we tracked for a good hour and came to a big earth with around 15-20 enterances we netted up hoping for a bolt as this was a deep spot after half hour heard nothing we got a mark at 16ft we broke through after 2-3 hours with little Guenna well in control of things,we dispacted a vixen and called it a day as we were tired and the light was fading! Last sunday we met up with Simpson and his mate off here and headed to some permission hoping for a nice easy little dig to start the day, first earth and Brock gave a solid mark so we collored him up and he flew in after a little bit of running around we got a steady mark and steady baying, brock usually mixes alot and dispatches befor we brake through, with just steady baying near, well right unter a tree at 5ft we best get down to him after some seriously tough digging with roots rock etc we broke through, the fox had pushed down a tight rabbit hole and brock couldnt push further on so we opened it up a touch and we could see a nice sized fox well wedged in brock soon made contact a drew an angry decent sized dog fox out which was humanily dispatched! Today myself dogs n natives and jam were out with Two pups Gypsy whos had one dig and Jack whos had 2-3 digs and looks like hes worked alot good strong dog,and 11years old nearly retired Scrump whos always there when we need him, With Brock and G lame we were looking for something shallow,we tracked a few and nothing at home, was freezing by now walking in 2ft snow is tireing just befor we called it a day we spotted a good little fox hole hiding in some cover Scrump marked well so we collederd him up and off he went withing seconds he made contact and was mixing very well for a retired 11 year old mut we got a mark at 1ft basically staight away cleared the branches and alot of racket so dog n natives quickly covered the closest enterance with the spade, the foxes nose was touching it and scrump was behind fox well locked,we quickly broke in to scrump pulled him out and dispacted another dog fox,we tried him back in for a vixen sitting tight not interested and called it a day, with a great result for Scrump! Some pics of earlier in the week but was too cold for pics of today! Quote Link to post
