riohog 5,939
no need to specifiy make of rofle .22 rimfire will be fine .vermin ,ground game .you can put fox on aswell but some force areas dont allow it on a rimfire ....good luck Quote Link to post
willum 89
if your just doing a bit of vermin control it would have to be the old faithful 22 rimy as rounds are cheap . but if you want a bit of distance then the .17 may be considered but the 22 will be quiter as you can get subsonic rounds. the .17 have muzzle crack as the rounds are supersonic.atb willum Quote Link to post
beddlington/greyhound 50
i want something for fox, rabbits i was thinking 17hmr??????????? Quote Link to post
topgun1 10
put down for both,.22 for vermin and ground game .17hmr for longer range vermin and ground game plus fox (a lot off forces accept .17hmr for fox) but what ever you put in for make sure you put down moderater for each weapon as these are classed as seperate items. Deker 3,491
i want something for fox, rabbits i was thinking 17hmr??????????? Have a think about .22WMR if you want fox, a much better bet in my experience than HMR! Quote Link to post
The Seeker 3,048
You need to clarify fox, my firearms authority South Yorkshire Police frown upon using .17HMR for fox.... I have read many posts on this site about using rimfire for fox but it depends on the local firearms officer. Let us know how you get on good luck! Quote Link to post
