wild rover 548
what is the general opinion on filters and what colours are most effective for people??? Cant believe some of the comments on here, obviously many experts and some that know nothing down to the genuine replies (usual crack ). Filters have there uses, I used to use a red filter, to scan the fields, we are talking about fields holding between 3-4 or 20-50 rabbits, this ensured the majority of rabbits remained not bolting for cover, which most would after being lamped 3-4 times previous, then when the dogs were ready to run, the filter came off. Also foxes that were lamp shy would come into a red filter not associating it with being lamped before, because my lurchers werent perfect, they did miss on some runs against cunning reynard. So back to answer the question, filters can be useful, I cant comment on different colours, I used a red one but would imagine there's not much difference. Quote Link to post
