zini 1,939
Hi guys, My youngest boy got me up bright and early this morning bouncing about my bedroom shouting that 2 giant magpies as he put it were sat on the garden and that I needed to come and bring the Verminator with me. I tried to put off the lad but anyone who knows my Dylan will know that when he wants to see me shoot I can’t ever say no as I love shooting so much the word magpie gets me proper excited . The thought of a new vermin species to add to the crow and woody that I’ve already had with the rifle was too much so I jumped out of bed and picked up the Verminator on the way down stairs . When I got down stairs the giant magpies were no where to be seen, but in a tree I spotted a jay just sat there contemplating about weather or not to fly down and rob my bird table and bully my small song birds . Unluckily for Mr Jay I slipped the Verminator out its case and cranked down the magnification to a mere x4 as the bird wasn’t more that 15 metres away. I slowly opened my patio doors and took careful aim. I took up the first stage of the match grade trigger and then controlling my breathing felt the positive release of the second stage while the mil dot cross hair was placed steadily over the jays heart. The Verminator barked out in its usual dull muted tone and a Bisley Magnum with yet again pin point accuracy was sent on it's way knocking my Jay out the tree without even a flap of a wing . I know it’s not the shot of a life time and anything that is even near testing the capabilities of the rifle but it’s always nice to nail a jay . I also shot a long range magpie a bit later on that was a lased 46 metres away sat on my friends roof top. I’m not dressed yet so I haven’t collected it to photograph. Zini Quote Link to post

hw100sniper 2
Nice going Zini ,does the rifle perform was looking at 1 for my boy. Atb Billy. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Yes Billy the rifle is very pointable and very accurate mate. Ive just had a problem with mine though and im not happy at all with it. I went to fill it tonight and the air is leaking out of the inlet valve. Ive read the instruction book and it says when this happens the inlet valve needs changing as its gone. Not good to say the gun is only 2.5 days old. Its going back to the gun shop on Monday. They either replace it for a new Verminator as its under warrenty or im getting a HW100T instead. Im not sure if i trust the rifle now after letting me down so quick. Good that ive still got my old faithful. R10. Zini Quote Link to post
hw100sniper 2
Zini i'll just be getting the boy a hw100 i think ive not had a bit off bother with it in a year and a half ,my mates the same he traded in his superten against 1 after he seen how well it performed. He has the thumb hole stock and I have the sporter and they are both comfortable in the shoulder. The only reason I even looked at the Fx range was the boy liking the military look.
