wexford Pa 84
Keep the lead high and when he pulls you pull him to the side (towards you) instead of pullin him straight back, when you pull him straight back your pullin against which makes him pull against you but when you pull him to the side your breakin his attention n he cant pull against you

bullmastiff 615
Give your command to 'heel' wait half a second then put some slack into the lead then snap the lead sideways and back (short and sharp). Your timing has to be quick, as soon as he applies slight pressure to the lead then do it, Everytime. Unfortunately they still usually tend to pull no matter what you do if there's quarry in front, that's just part of owning a Bull breed! - you wanted prey drive, you got it! Invest in a decent choke chain, not one of the ones you thread through themselves, the type thats two chains looped together. Short, sharp, tug everytime he pulls should teach him that its not good. Being a bull cross though, if the dogs strong minded then you could have a small problem. We got a stubborn bugger and at his age (six) we still cant stop him no matter what if he see's something he wants, so i bought a halti to walk him on... no good for lamping thought coz it would take a while to let him off. Because the lead clips just under his chin, right under his nose, he cant pull. Bit like one of them rings they put on the bulls... control the nose... control the animal. MissRhianL 70
Hiya, all my dogs will walk by our side on and off the lead, but once we are out on the fields lamping, they will pull like a bitch, and no matter how many times you try and stop them you really cant do anything about it, once they got it in their head that there is something out there due to the scent etc you've had it

Also try sudden changes in direction as well, the dog has to be aware of you if it wants it's neck to stay the same length.
